Why Hello There:
It's been awhile, a looooong while actually since I've updated this blog. I'm hoping I can pick things back up and be creative again and post more here. :) And to start things off, I'd like to post some of my favorite images from a recent first-time family photo-shoot I did, taking advantage of the cherry blossoms at UW this spring. These images are all sweet moments between grandmother and her grandson... images that were taken candidly which I enjoy taking most of all. :)
I participated in this photo contest back in december of 2011 as a friend recommended me to do so and to my surprise, I won 2nd place with above photo which i title, "Necessities". :) The theme this year is Vietnamese American. There are many other photos other photographers took around the Little Saigon area and selected photos are being exhibited in IDEA Space until January 20, 2012. In late January, the exhibit will then be moved the Tet in Seattle Celebration at Seattle Center. So hope you all will have a chance to check out photos of Little Saigon! :)

For the next 3 months, Coastal Kitchen on Capitol Hill is displaying a Moroccan theme art show to go along with their Moroccan theme menu specials. The theme will last through December so go try their food and see selected artworks with Moroccan theme including paintings and photography. I have 3 photos displayed on their cute little wall as seen above too! :) Hope you'll get a chance to visit this place!
I was so excited to see that one of my photos was chosen to be on the front page as "today's pick" on the Japanese Photography Website, "Fotologue". To see more photos from photographers all over the world, visit the website at http://fotologue.jp/ and check out what "today's pick" is. :)

One day, I decided to head over to Fresh Flours to satisfy my pastry and matcha tea craving. It's been a year since I've been back and it's been a year since my photography showing in their shop. As I was standing at the counter waiting for my matcha tea, I looked over to the side of their counter and saw my piece, "Anpanman", hung on their side wall near their kitchen! I gave this to the owner as a gift to thank her for being so kind and giving me the opportunity to display but never thought she would display it in her store! Makes me happy... :) and Mr. Anpanman looks really happy in his new home too... :)
